appleApple is planning to team up with more retailers in India, so that they can open stores-in-stores in smaller Indian towns.

According to what we hear, Apple’s Indian executives had recently met with twenty CEOs and senior executives of the country’s top major retail chains. As per the report, Apple has plans to open store-in-store locations and 100 standalone stores in smaller Indian cities by 2015.

With this new partnership, Apple aims to enter the top 50 tier II and III markets in the country. Through these outlets and store-in-stores, Apple will sell their iPhones, tablets and iPad products along with their accessories. At present, the Cupertino tech giant has no official Apple stores in the country.

Based on reports, in the year 2012, Indians bought 19 million smartphones, and according to IDC estimation this number will be around 108 million by the end of 2016. For now, Samsung rules the Indian mobile market with holding over 36 percent of the market, where as Apple’s share falls just between 2 and 5 percent.

And latest reports show that Apple is looking to grow in the Indian market, as it sees a huge potential here. However, right now, we are unable to tell you anything more about Apple’s plan.
